{"id":22418,"date":"2019-01-07T19:18:12","date_gmt":"2019-01-07T19:18:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/sb15-alta-flight-control-firmware-default-settings-bug-2016-8-31"},"modified":"2023-02-08T04:59:04","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T04:59:04","slug":"sb15-alta-flight-control-firmware-default-settings-bug-2016-8-31","status":"publish","type":"kb_article","link":"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/knowledge-base\/sb15-alta-flight-control-firmware-default-settings-bug-2016-8-31","title":{"rendered":"SB15\u00a0Alta\u00a0Flight \u00a0Control\u00a0Firmware Default Settings Bug (2016-8-31)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This Service Bulletin (SB) is being issued to advise all Alta owners of a safety-related firmware error that can occur after loading the preset default configuration in the Alta app.<\/p>\n<p>This SB is being issued to all Alta owners and applies to all Flight Controller Firmware versions 3.8.2 and prior.<\/p>\n<p>When using the Alta App to load the Default Configuration flight settings, several parameters in the flight control algorithm will not be initialized properly unless additional action is taken, If the Alta is flown immediately after loading the Default Configuration through the App (prior to rebooting), an unsafe condition may occur where the pilot is unable to maintain control in Position Mode.
