To perform the update you will need the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Wedge<\/li>\n<li>The 1.3mm hex tool and USB cable that shipped with the Wedge<\/li>\n<li>A Windows or Apple computer with the M\u014dvi Controller Firmware Update Tool installed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The process for updating the Wedge firmware is very similar to that of the M\u014dvi Controller. Here is a <a href=\"\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-update-the-firmware-on-my-movi-controller\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">refresher article<\/a>, if it&#8217;s been a while since you updated your M\u014dvi Controller.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Disconnect all LEMO cables from the Wedge.<\/li>\n<li>Using the included 1.3mm hex tool, remove the cover with the USB logo on it, next to the antenna.<br \/>\n<a class=\"image-link\" href=\"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/usb_cover_wedge.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-27785\" src=\"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/usb_cover_wedge.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2448\" height=\"2584\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Using the included USB cable, plug the Wedge into your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Once the light on the Wedge turns on, indicating power, follow the same process you used to update your M\u014dvi Controller, and select the proper COM port.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the Wedge firmware from the Browse menu.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Start Firmware button to flash the firmware. Once the update starts the light on the Wedge will go out.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Once the file send process reaches 100%, the Wedge light will flash a range of colors and then return to green (alternating between flashing and solid).
