{"id":22480,"date":"2019-01-07T19:18:15","date_gmt":"2019-01-07T19:18:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/blog\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-configure-my-movi-to-work-with-the-mimic-beta"},"modified":"2023-10-31T18:11:11","modified_gmt":"2023-10-31T18:11:11","slug":"how-do-i-configure-my-movi-to-work-with-the-mimic-beta","status":"publish","type":"kb_article","link":"https:\/\/freeflysystems.com\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-configure-my-movi-to-work-with-the-mimic-beta","title":{"rendered":"How do I configure my M\u014dvi to work with the Mimic Beta?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Any M\u014dvi can be configured to work with the Mimic Beta Controller.<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>M\u014dvi Firmware\n<ul>\n<li>M-Series M\u014dvi must have firmware version 4.02 or later.<\/li>\n<li>M\u014dvi Pro, M\u014dvi Carbon and M\u014dvi XL can be running any version of firmware.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>In addition, adjusting Mimic settings for M-Series gimbals requires using the PC M\u014dvi App version 3.10 or later, the macOS or Android M\u014dvi App version 1.63 or later.<\/li>\n<li>M\u014dvi FRX Receiver\n<ul>\n<li>Applicable for all M\u014dvi models, it connects to the GCU with a small 5-pin cable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After installing or confirming compatible firmware is installed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/knowledge-base\/how-do-i-install-the-freefly-receiver-that-came-with-my-mimic-beta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Install the M\u014dvi Controller Receiver<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Confirm or change the M\u014dvi Radio Type to M\u014dvi Controller &#8211; This can be done from the Freefly M\u014dvi app (PC, Mac, Android) in the Remote Controller Config menu.<\/li>\n<li>The values of the other parameters in this menu (Map Remote Mode, etc.) do not matter for this Radio Type and can be left at their defaults.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Currently, the Mimic Beta only works with the M\u014dvi Gimbal Application setting set to Handheld, not Aerial.
